ASO supports the actions of federal structures

Communiqué

The performances of the FFC, supported by its clubs, its departmental committees and
regional, very regularly position its athletes on the highest steps
podiums at world events.
In addition, the new historic record of 115.863 licensees recorded by the FFC in
the end of 2012 demonstrates that cycling, in all its forms of
practices, remains a very popular and attractive sport. The A.S.O. company, leader in
the world of organizing cycling events, shares this observation and wishes
unite its efforts with the FFC to promote its development, in line with the logic of
four-year federal project “for conquering French cycling”. The Federation
Française de Cyclisme and Amaury Sport Organization therefore wished to continue
their collaboration, within the framework of a multi-year sponsorship agreement (2011 to
2013) in order to support and develop cycling.
This agreement concerns the development of clubs, departmental committees and
regional committees, and consists of totally or partially financing a selection
of projects they propose. These will be added to those already validated in
2012. For example, for regional committees, this concerns participation
travel costs as part of national challenges (juniors and “La
France Cycliste » hopes).
In 2013, however, priority will be given to the development of track cycling,
cycling schools and women's cycling, strong points of the FFC's four-year plan.
