The series continues. Already forced by the health crisis to cancel the Nations League, the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) must resolve to draw a line under another major event on its calendar for the year 2020: the World Cup. clubs. It was to take place, like every year for a decade, during the month of December. The location of the competition had not yet been determined, for both men and women, but the FIVB will not have to look for host cities. The council of the international body took the decision to give up organizing the next edition, mainly due to the travel constraints imposed in a large number of countries. The Club World Cup brings together eight teams, for men and women: the champions of Europe, Asia and South America, the national champion of the host country, plus four teams invited by the FIVB.
