Seoul hosts the Smartcities & Sport Summit from October 20 to 22. The theme of this 2025 edition will be "technology & sport: the e-volution." A nod to the Korean capital's reputation for being at the forefront of technological advancements. After a welcome dinner on Monday, October 20, Tuesday will explore the contribution of artificial intelligence, to go beyond stereotypes about eSports,listen to youth for " understand how she consumes sport » Today, we will study the practical case of the city of Espoo (Finland) in terms of eSports and gamification, and will also look at the use of data.

Another topic will be put on the table during this day: the bridges between sport and eSport, as well as their complementarity. Who are the audiences for these events? How are fans engaged? What is the lever for moving from eSports and virtual sports to real-life sports practice? How are international federations gradually integrating new disciplines, leagues, and championships into their traditional activities? A panorama of surprising initiatives will help us take the pulse of this growing industry ", announces the organization.

Three themes will be on Wednesday's agenda, mainly around stadiums and infrastructure. The first session will focus on smart stadiums, the use of new technologies to offer a unique experience to spectators and athletes, and the governance models of these sites. The other will invite architects, site operators, team managers as well as fans to a round table that will cover topics such as security, flow management, and spectator consumption, sustainability, fan engagement or sponsorship opportunities.

The summit will conclude with a session entitled "Digital Toolbox: Using Smart Technologies to Deliver a High-Tech Experience," featuring a number of concrete examples of the technological possibilities offered by stadiums.
