As expected, the Paris Council approved by a very large majority the city's membership in the Olympic and Paralympic Ambition Studies Association, a sort of pre-candidacy committee of the capital for the 2024 Olympic Games. also approved the payment of a “statutory” contribution of 500.000 euros to this association, which will have a total budget of two million euros, to which the city, the French National Olympic and Sports Committee contribute in equal parts ( CNOSF), the Ile-de-France region and the State. Only the EELV group on the Paris Council and the Paris PG councilor, Danielle Simonnet, voted against the executive's deliberation.
