The figure seems completely unreal. According to the Brazilian daily The Globe, taxpayers will have to continue to pay for… 1.000 years the bill for the Mane-Garrincha stadium in Brasilia, renovated for the 2014 World Cup. Its recent compliance work cost 1,9 billion reals (620 million euros), but the compound only grossed 1,3 million reals in its first year of operation. At this rate, it would take more than a thousand years to pay the bill.
