Work is progressing well on the site of the future athletes' village for the 2019 Pan American Games, held from July 26 to August 11 in Lima, the capital of Peru. The new Peruvian president, Martin Vizcarra Cornejo, elected head of state last March, noted this himself during an inspection visit to the site. Accompanied by the Minister of Transport and Telecommunications, Edmer Truijillo Mori, he was able to verify that 4 of the 7 towers of the village were now completed. The construction of the last 3 buildings should be completed by next August at the latest, “ahead of schedule”, announces a press release from the organizing committee.
